I recently picked up the Progresso Traditional Manhattan Clam Chowder (19 oz.) at Walmart, and I have to say—I was pleasantly surprised. I've tried a few canned chowders over the years, but this one really stands out for its flavor and consistency. The broth has a bright, tomato-based taste that isn't too salty, and the balance of clams, potatoes, and veggies feels just right. It actually tastes fresh for a canned soup, which isn't always easy to find. I also appreciate that it's gluten-free, which makes it a safe and simple meal option for me when I'm in a hurry. Heat it up, add a little pepper or crackers, and it makes a perfect quick lunch or light dinner. Overall, Progresso did a great job with this one—definitely a repeat buy for me.
