HART 30-Foot Autolock Tape Measure

As an experienced DIYer, I've owned and still own several steel tapes, but when I used this for the first time today, I was IN LOVE! The design flaws of every other tape is corrected in this one from Hart. First of all, it automatically locks whenever you extend it, and retracts when you push the button! Blades usually lock when you push the button, then you have to fight it to unlock it. This is brilliant! Since by default you want it to lock until you read your measurement, this saves a step. Secondly, the fractions are black print for 8ths and red print for 4ths. I love this feature too because it makes it quicker to see which mark you're at. Saves so much time! I really like the larger, flat hook too. I always doubt an accurate measurement with other tapes because the hook never sits flat on the material and constantly slips off. The wire clip for pocket or belt is great too since it's rounded and smooth so it clips on my pocket easily. And finally, the case itself is made of a rubber-like material so it's not slippery when setting on material during marking. This tool solves so many aggravating issues that I've had during projects over the years. Thank you Hart!
