We appreciate your feedback on the Ivory Original Bar Soap and your loyalty! We're so sorry to hear you are unhappy with the formula change. Back in 2023 we switched from Animal based cleansers to plant-based cleansers, which has slightly altered the scent, and we have also added Tetrasodium Etidronate and Titanium Dioxide. The process in which it is produced has changed as well and now requires less water, which in turn makes it more dense, which results in it no longer floating; however, it is still 99.44/100% pure and is still very safe to use even if it doesn't float! We certainly expected you to get the same great benefits that you always got with our Ivory Bar Soap. Your report is not what we would expect to hear and we will share your comments with the Health & Safety Team as well as the rest of the Ivory Team. We want you to know all of our products are thoroughly evaluated and proven to be safe when used as directed. Yet, we do recognize some consumers may have personal sensitivities which make them unable to tolerate a particular ingredient or formulation. If you haven’t already done so, we recommend that you discontinue using the product. The new Ivory Bar doesn’t float because it is now made with plant based cleansers and the formula is more concentrated. In reference to the lack of suds, this is often due to hard water or the bar not being stored properly.
