Odd, inconsistent sizing

I have 2x of these Hampton jeans in blue. I thought black would be nice too. My regular size in these jeans was looser in the waist, and 2.5" ish longer in length. Crotch was longer, and the jeans are looser all-round and don't hang as nicely. I had them hemmed at a tailor, but still satisfied with the fit.

Nice jeans - disintegrating fabric

I love the Ralph Lauren jeans, and have several pairs. This particular pair of jeans started disintegrating after four wears - the jeans started falling apart (not on the seams, but the actual fabric). They must have been over washed/processed at the factory.
