This is an outstanding purifier. We live in the Great Central Valley, which was filled with smoke for up to a month from all of the fires in the foothills to the southeast, northeast and northwest of us. We put this in the dining room area of our 2,000 square foot home and it reduced the pollutants in the air from an air quality index (AQI) of 72 down to 4 and it was done in less than an hour for the entire house! We were shocked because Honeywell indicated the size of the area for the unit and it was about 1/6th of the size we actually used it on. We bought the HPA300 at the same time we bought the HPA200 and now we use the larger unit in the front of the house and the smaller unit in the back of the house. We recommended the HPA200 for a family we knew who live closer to the fires in the foothills because we knew how effective it is. We only use the unit at this point when the AQI gets up to 20 or more in the house.

Air Purifier Honeywell HPA 200 Energy Star

I got this because it has a true HEPA filter, it does not produce any ozone, and it is energy efficient. It was easy to unpack. The filters were wrapped up, but already in place, so just had to take them out, unwrap, and then put them back in the same way. I have only had it a few days, so I cannot say how it works over a long time. Our energy company provides a rebate on energy efficient air purifiers.

Worth the money

This air purifier has saved me. I was struggling badly with sinus congestion from allergies. Now after using it for just a few days, I can breath, smell and taste again. The only thing not perfect about it is that the fan is pretty loud. It doesn't keep me from sleeping though, which is good. I do recommend it if you have allergies.
