Voltage, Poor Quality Control and Warranty Support

I bought 2 of these. One always accepts my All-clad pan, one only accepts it when the pan I s cold. It took me awhile to become convinced that this should not be. I called Vollrath and they said magnetism is tricky and not consistent. "What, should I feel sorry for you that you have too much work to do," I thought. Both burners have fancy QC stickers on them, but it means nothing according to my phone call with Vollrath. No support. Be prepared to buy several and try them out--they are not all the same. Hope you don't have to do that, but be prepared, so make sure to use your 30 day return window. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
