So far it works great! And I like the FWD...previous mowers I've owned had RWD, but I find this system is far better. The only reason I gave only 4 stars to assembly is that the written instructions (like a comic book) didn't give good detail on how to put it together. That's okay, I figured it out. It just took a couple more minutes. All in all a good mower.

So, it found a dog toy, and when it felt the resistance it actually cut off... I have kids who like to leave stuff in the grass and occasionally dart in front of us, not that they've ever been nearly run over, but it's good to know the lawnmower has that safety shut off...
