lifesaver for a dual-screen with MacBook!

Thank God for this adapter. When COVID-19 broke out and we had to work from home, I had no way of connecting my MacBook Pro 2019 to my desktop monitor. Our IT group sent me this one, and I love the extensive functionality of it. 4 ports all in one--couldn't be better. Works great and lis lightweight and portable.

Simple, well built, and it just works...

I acquired a Tripp Lite U444-06N-H4GU-C for use with a Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) running High Sierra (10.13.3). The build quality of the adapter is solid; it feels well made and durable. It was super simple to use; just plug it in and off you go. Charging of the MacBook Pro via the adapter worked; the system has three free USB-C connections to charge "natively", so using this adapter to charge is not likely on my system. USB 3.0 worked perfectly and so did the physical Ethernet port. I didn't have a 4K capable monitor handy, but I tested the video support on my 4K TV. Everything looked as it should; using the TV as a second display was simple and worked as you would expect. This is going to replace two expensive adapters (an Ethernet to USB-C and a Apple branded HDMI/USB to USB-C).

Solved Apple's USB-C growing pains

This helps ease the growing pains with apples new usb c connections. Dongles really aren't ideal but this one does a good job of handling it. Well worth the purchase.
