Its what we call a moneymaker

Very durable saw. Heavier than home owner and DIYer saws. 13 Amp motor has better than expected torque. Power cord is slightly longer and the plug stays out of my way. The laser guide worked perfectly for me while cutting 60 cement pavers on an overcast day. I cant think of anything that throws more dust. That should have blocked the light but it was never a problem. Direct sun might be an issue. I recommend this saw for anyone doing rough work in difficult environments. A great value for a job site saw.

Good Saw - Useless Laser

This is a good circular saw - maybe just a tiny bit above average as far as the saw is concerned. But, don't buy it for the laser guide! The laser is totally useless - after a couple of cuts it fills up with sawdust and the light can no longer get through. To regularly use the laser you would need to clean out the sawdust every couple of cuts - and they don't make it easy - turn it upside down, shake it around - use an air hose from a compressor to bow it out - it takes longer to clean out the sawdust from the laser than making a number of cuts is going to take.
