This set has been hours of enjoyment for my granddaughter. All of the pieces are so realistic. The mascara has an actual wand in the container, both of the lipsticks open like an actual lipstick, the face powder compact has the puff in it and the mirror is real. The makeup brushes are soft bristles, the eyeshadow applicators have a tint on them making it look like there is makeup on it. The eyeshadow colors are so bright which intrigues little girls. There are little bottles looking like perfume, and an empty spray bottle which my granddaughter was using as sunscreen. My granddaughter is 3 1/2 and the compacts are a bit difficult when opening them. But the set is so much fun for her that it makes me over look that
