Unsweetened Acai - Great!

Unsweetened acai is more difficult to find. They had these as smoothie packs but seems like are no longer stock them. I like the reduced plastic for this packaging since the cubes are in the single package. Could be annoying if they melt, but I'll take it. These are slightly more expensive than the previous smoothie packs which is annoying.

I love these

These Acai berries taste great in my smoothies! They are rich, tart and add a refreshing layer - exactly what I wanted, something different without added sugar. I appreciate the convenience: no need to peel or prep, just toss the cubes straight into the blender. They go well with bananas, other berries and nuts. I am even thinking about experimenting and making an acai jelly for toast and eggs, sort of like that pancake topping you can make. I have been thinking about an acai balsamic glaze for roasted vegetables, as well. I love pineapple in my salad or even on pizza but do not think acai would work there. I just wish they didn't cost so much!
