Excellent solution to my problem
Needed to attach a work laptop with a single DisplayPort outlet to a 2-Port Dual Display DVI KVM switch. Even though the instruction manual says this is not intended to be attached to a switch, it worked perfectly in this case. Prior to this, I tried using a DP to DVI converter, connected to a passive DVI splitter, but that failed miserably. The screen image was unreadable with that setup. This works perfectly and I get crystal clear 1920x1080p images off both sides of the splitter. A great little device!
