Wash them by hand! The pillowcases dry out fairly quickly when washed by hand and allowed to drip dry. This will keep them doing their job. A couple of years back, my son got me a pair of silk pillow cases and after handwashing for a while, I got lazy and started washing them in the washing machine and drying them in a dryer. That was a mistake! They soon began to fall apart as you might expect silk to do. I wash these by hand every week and they are holding up nicely. The real quality test for me was my hair. I sleep with the silk side next to my hair and face and my long hair is tangle free every morning. As much as I love to use cotton, cotton cases leave my hair in knots. This price on this pillow case was very affordable and the silk seems to be high quality, so I would highly recommend!
