Can also be used to make a compact 1/2 drive ratchet.

This repair kit is intended for a torque wrench Proto makes. However it just so happens to work in a Proto J5249 ratchet. What this does is give you a 3/8 drive sized ratchet that accepts 1/2 sockets. Pretty handy if for some reason you are stuck using 1/2 sockets for a number of tasks, but sometimes need a more compact and lighter ratchet. #Sweepstakes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
