Even in a time when technology is leading camera manufactures to a future of mirrorless cameras with electronic viewfinders (EVF), this DSLR is an excellent choice for enthusiast. Mirrorless cameras are without a doubt the future of digital photography, and even though there are already excellent products out, that future is still being developed. In the meantime, this tested technology continues to prove it is an excellent way of getting excellent images—and the 80D is an great example of that. I highly recommended.

I recently bought this camera and just spent 6 hours using it at an event. Love it! Paired it with the Sigma 18-300 mm. Such a huge step up from my Nikon D3100. Love the display feature where I can actually see the quality of my photos immediately. My only qualm is that it sometimes focuses on the wrong subject in low light, but I knew it would do that when I bought it. Highly recommend.
