Philips Norelco MG7750/49 Multigroom Series 7000, Men's Grooming Kit with Trimmer for Beard, Head, Body, and Face - No Blade Oil Needed

I've had a Philips Norelco 3000 for years, and it's always been embarrassingly loud. This 7000 series is quieter than my electric toothbrush, I can shave with the bathroom door wide open and someone standing right outside wouldn't be able to hear it. Build quality also feels a lot nicer, it's heavier, and you can stand the trimmer up on its bottom side so it doesn't have to be laid down.

This is replacing a forty year old clipper set Ive been using as a daily groomer for more than a decade so I may be biased.Absolutely great performance and so much easier to use.That said, it shares the same annoyance as what I assume is a common long standing weakness in design all these appliances share since my old classic is exactly the same.Hair clippings easily get inside the lubricated activating mechanism that all attachments rely on.Why is there always a gap between attachment and unit? It makes cleaning both a pain and a constant necessity.At least this modern unit has the sense to seal off the rest of the electronics from the hair mess so I guess its not really exactly the same. I am still very satisfied with my purchase, though.
