I own a larger dog who is a strong puller. just the harness alone would not be sufficient to control him neither would just the dog collar. So I purchased a tie down strap and linked the dog collar to the harness. see attached picture. it works great and I highly recommend such a system.

This collar is perfect for our tiny 3 lb. puppy, yet it's a long enough size when adjusted, to grow into (it also fits her 11 lb. adopted Chihuahua sister). Even though it's plastic, the snap closure works great and keeps solidly closed even with the pulling she does - which surprisingly, for such a small pup, is a lot and strong - lol! We're pretty happy with the price on this and how it's holding up.
