My cat eats to fast and vomits as a result.she seems to just swallow her food. I think wet food would be better but her mom says no. [cat sitting] This helps tremendously and she enjoys using her paw. Win/win.

Eating this fast usually leads to him gagging, throwing it all back up, and bloating which makes him breathe labouredly for hours until he digests his food. I've tried multiple slow feeder bowl options and not one has slowed him down as much as this Paw Perfect Slow Feeder Dog Bowl. In fact, the very first time I fed him with it he looked up at me after struggling to get some food and "said" to me, "Are you freaking kidding me?!". Haha! He was clearly annoyed. With our past slow feeder bowls, he would have figured out a technique to get back to his food inhalation within days. We've been using this Paw Perfect Slow Feeder Bowl for a full month and he is still very slowed down. His speed of eating now with the Paw Perfect Bowl is probably 2-3 minutes instead of his usual approximate 45 seconds. I love that this bowl easily comes a part for washing and even more, I love that the Paw Perfect is dishwasher safe! And the most important thing is that the Paw Perfect is BPA free, this would be an absolute deal breaker for us. The Paw Perfect Slow Feeder Dog Bowl absolutely works and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to slow down their dog during meal times. Make sure that you select the correct bowl size for your breed/size of dog (I believe they have a 2 cup & a 4 cup size)! This is very important!
