Any dog will enjoy a slow feed bowl, but the design is especially useful for dogs on a weight management program to help promote healthy eating and improved digestion. The uniquely designed round lip overhang also allows the bowl to be placed in your favorite raised feeder with non-slip grips on the base. Please see the images to properly measure before you purchase to ensure the best fit. If your dog is a "bowl flipper", because of its shape, this is probably not the bowl for you. We also recommend supervising strong chewers because of the lip on the bowl. This bowl can hold wet food but is not intended to be used as a water bowl. Available in blue or gray.

Great bowl for Dogs that eats like a vacuum. I was always paranoid my dog may get Bloat due to how fast he eats and slurps water. I bought 2 bowls and the 7.5 - 8 inch bowls fits perfectly on the raised food stand. 1 bowl for food, the other bowl for water. My dog still eats like a hog even with these great bowls, but I noticed it did add around 20-30 seconds to his completed food consumption. I would buy these bowls again in case something happens to the bowls I just bought. These Bowls are pretty sturdy even for my big hungry dog.

Great for food or water!!!

I know these work well for food, but I got this one for the water bowl. I have a dog who drinks water so fast, that she vomits it right back up. This bowl has completely stopped that! I definitely recommend it for either food or water.
