Before I tried this I was buying the regular tree fresheners and they never lasted longer than a few days, especially during the summer when the sun dries them out even faster. This brand and style I find is better. This scent is very strong (which I like) and because you don't hang it from the mirror it doesn't dry out and lose its scent. I would say you can go about 2 weeks before it starts losing its strength but you will still smell it when you get in your car.
