Papaba Knitting Needle,18Pcs 18 Sizes Tube Circular Carbonized Bamboo Knitting Needles Pins 40cm-120cm

New to knitting. Have tried metal, plastic and now bamboo? type needles. Bought these because of length of plastic cord ( approximately 3'), variety of sizes and price. So far they work really well on size 4 100% cotton yarn for knitting dish cloths. For me, just the right amount of “drag”. Metal needles cause me to grip more to keep the yarn from slipping off - due to the small diameter of the 4.5mm needles. 2 things l have found with the Papaba needles is this: 1) the plastic cord has a bit of a “lip” in places that can catch the stitches that have been knit and are being slid down onto the cord. I took a pair of cuticle nippers to trim the lip off. Works much better now. So far the cord has not come off. If it does, I will glue it on with appropriate type of glue for these materials. 2) “bamboo” type material now, after a few uses, shows slight denting. In good light it can be seen. However, has not caused yarn to snag whatsoever! For me, is a nonissue :)! Really debated about the very long length just to knit dishcloths. I found knitting to be much more comfortable, once I tried the circular needles with the cord. May never go back to straight needles - of which I have several pairs! May use them as stake markets in my garden :) :)!! When I used the shorter cord needles, prior to these, the cord would fold up to my hands and was irritating due to interfering with the flow of the yarn in my hand to complete the wrap over the top of the needle to make the stitch. Learned to use a snap clip with a few keys on it to weight down the cord to keep it from folding up and getting in my way. But wasn't so heavy as to be noticeable. Worked great! When I got this set, the cords needed time to relax and straighten out, as well as a slight plastic odor to air out - was not really bad to me. The warmth of my house helped both issues. Was able to use them after a couple of days. Used my key snap to weight the cord down. Perfect :). Hardly notice that the cord is even on the needles :). I sit in my recliner, the cord lays down to about my knees. That way the “weight” of the keys is just not something I have to deal with. The only weight I feel is the feather weight of the needles and yarn :). And sooo less cumbersome than straight needles. I would buy these again - knowing what a joy they are for me to knit with :).
