This is plated in a very fake material. That obviously doesn't even pretend to look to be gold. Also it was a bit loose and I shook my hand after touching something hot and it came off. Flew apart and I received no instructions with the Ring to help me put it back together. I am impressed by the beaytiful packaging, however I am not impressed by the ring. It's thin and cheap
