Ozark Trail 16 oz Vacuum-Insulated Food Jar Double-Wall Stainless Steel Travel Mug

This is a great product. I tried two different food items with this insulated stainless steel food jar. First, I followed the directions and primed the jar before before placing the food item in the container. Afterwards, I put hot chicken nuggets in the container. I checked four hours later and the nuggets were slightly warmer than room temperature. I also tried a cold item. My kids like cold yogurt and smoothies, so I put a very cold smoothie in the container and checked it four hours later. Again, the smoothie was mildly cold, but not room temperature. I think that this is a good container to hold hot or cold food for about 4 hours max. Of course, liquids can be kept at a cold or hot temperature much longer. It has a sleek and efficient design, and I think it's valuable for extended outings and even for school lunches.

The Ozark Trail vacuum sealed food storage container is an excellent option for anyone wanting hot foods, pasta, macaroni and cheese, soups etc. on the go. Personally I'd like to have warm food with me if I'm going to be out for an extended period of time. I tested this model utilizing hot tap water (not boiling) after one hour of the water in the food storage container, I opened the vacuum sealed And felt that the water had retained most of its original temperature. The one portion of the instructions that I will reiterate here is that the for opening the vacuum sealed cap there is a pressure relief button (red), depressed that button to release pressure. One negative point that I noticed was that the stainless steel does leave watermarks after cleaning and drying in a dish rack. Again I think this is more of a property of stainless steel then a knock on the manufacturer so I did not take off a star for this minor aesthetic piece. Overall I'm very satisfied with this vacuum sealed food storage container.
