To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking. **Stovetop - From Ambient **1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.* **2. Stir in rice.** **3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed. ***Cooking Measurement Chart **For drier rice, use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water. **Rice: 1 cup; Water: 2 cups; Makes: 3 cups; Servings (3/4 cup cooked): 4 **Rice: 2 cups; Water: 4 cups; Makes: 6 cups; Servings (3/4 cup cooked): 8 **Rice: 3 cup; Water: 6 cups; Makes: 9 cups; Servings (3/4 cup cooked): 12 ****Add 1 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. **Microwave - From Ambient **Cooking Directions in the Microwave*** **1. i am so happy walmart carries this rice. i grew up in new york with it and now live in wisconsin, and have had a very hard time finding it. when i found it online i was thrilled. it cooks up easily, although this is not a minute type rice, and the flavor is beyond compare. it is a creamy type tasting rice and is great in any dish its added to, soups, casseroles, by itself. thank you for such a great product.
