Delicious and Nutritious!
Let me begin by saying, I am beyond thrilled that I decided to try this product! Before receiving the organic spelt flour to try, I had never even heard of it. We are healthy eaters. But, haven't made the leap from mainstream flours and such to any of the alternatives. That is definitely going to change after trying this. It was easy to cook with, DELICIOUS, and hassle-free. Okay. To start, I searched for a simple dinner roll recipe online to use. Found a vegan recipe that looked yummy and enlisted my two littlest boys (4 and 6) to help me start making the dough. I chose a sweet bread dinner roll and used coconut sugar in lieu of cane sugar. The result was HEAVENLY! I had no issues with the spelt flour at all. It mixes well, makes a nice sticky dough, and baked fluffy, melt in your mouth rolls. My entire family devoured them before dinner started. Home run! When some of your family are vegan or vegetarian, it can be difficult finding things to prepare that everyone can enjoy without making two completely separate meals. This is a great option to use in any recipe if you're looking for an alternative.
