American Standard 7353801.243 Townsend 8-Inch Widespread High-Arc Bathroom Faucet with Two Handles, Brass, Matte Black

The American Standard's new bath collection, the Townsend, has great lines.Sometimes a simple elegance “speaks” louder than more ornate fixtures in the bath world. The understated Townsend is bold and substantial with a masculine feel in the low spout version and more feminine with the high arc option. Both beg to be touched. For the price point the Townsend belongs in, there are few options to beat the architectural style points and value you can get with this choice.

I received this and was looking forward to installing no doubt. Well I opened and went through the box which was packaged very well. Inventories and all was accounted for. Liked the ideal of hot cold having a common line connection for faucet activity and individual lines to incoming hot and cold valves. Got ready by disassembling existing bathroom sinks faucets and hoses. Found I needed to get new 1/2” to 3/8 “ connectors for the New sinks feeds. Went and bought new metal valves and replaced my plastic old version valves. Thought I was good to go and went to install the faucet and wham it bit me hard. The set up was for 8inch center vanity top and not 4 1/2” like mine was. Major bummer and oversight on my part when ordering this product. I have to say lesson learned no doubt. Everything was so easy to do and it would of been a very nice addition to our restroom if I was able use them with my vanity set up. So I will have to wait a little time to buy another vanity that I will for sure used this set up then. Over all product was very well built and am confidence would of worked as well as it was built.
