These are great beginner arrows overall. However, because the have stiff plastic fletching your accuracy with a longbow would be somewhat limited unless you learn to adjust your shot to compensate. Arrows with feather fletching are the best for longbows, but they will cost you two to four times as much. The length of these arrows is pretty good especially for youth and lady shooters. A full grown man might find them too short for a comfortable draw. I am 5'4" and I can use these with my traditional longbow without too much difficulty. Between them, my kiddos have a longbow (standard), a recurve, and a compound bow and they ALL use these particular arrows. They are durable and fairly true to aim overall, but I still think the accuracy is best with the recurve and the compound, probably because they are more 'powerful' than the longbow. These worked wonderfully for practice and even though the material it's made of isn't known for holding up well, they've been taking our abuse pretty well. We've shot them directly into trees and they have stayed together.
