i like these because they have a good shelf life, hold together well for about 4-6 bytes [wink wink]... ie; get to eat my whole taco without everything falling out. they also still have crunch if i use fatty hamburger. [not hamburger made from chubs though. i care about my health... lol. you better cooks know what i mean.] i think toasting them is nice, it adds a little more crunch but used right out of the box is good. lastly i find them more filling and they have a nice mouthfeel. after eating my mouth doesnt have any cuts. some brands can be pretty hard on your mouth with sharp edges when they break.

I fix them with my favorite spicy plant protein vegetarian beef topped with lots of lettuce %26 a sprinkle of Mexican cheese (sort of like a portable taco salad!) or with any kind of frozen "unwrapped burrito bowl" for a filling meal in minutes. They're delicious with all kinds of Chili: beef, vegetable, 3 bean, etc. Try filling them with something different, like scrambled eggs, potatoes and onions, or chicken %26 mushroom rice. Experiment with different cheeses too - like Smoked Gouda! I've found that these El Paso Taco Shells are a good way to stretch my food dollar and make a meal more filling. .
