Claire Martin’s ‘offBEAT’ was recorded live over six days at London’s famed Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in 1995 and features Claire’s regular trio plus special guests. Renowned throughout her career for unusual and adventurous repertoire choices, Claire turns her expressively cool-toned voice to Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Laura Nyro, Leonard Bernstein’s Some Other Time and Lost In His Arms by Irving Berlin. There are also a couple of original songs - Worth The Wait and Wishful Thinking. Known as The First Lady of British Jazz, Ms. Martin has won Best Vocalist at the BJA seven times.
