This item is perfect for a boat, RV, apartment, college dorm, etc. It's 2/3 scale, you might say, which fits the galley of my boat just fine. I use smaller-sized utensils, and this bucket fits on the counter beautifully. And it's beautiful as well, if you like a natural finish. It's a double-wall of bamboo. Obviously, it's square -- which fits the space I have so well. In the tight quarters of a galley, saving an inch of space matters! This holder gets the job done. I've modified mine, because I keep two knives inside. I don't want the blades to be nicked nor my fingers, so I added a knife holder on the inside of the box.
