Very frustrating application

I cannot rate durability - the door edge protector would not stay on more than 30 seconds. The 7mm applies to the exterior dimension. The inside channel is only about 3 mm, and requires a very thin door edge. I tried it several times on two different cars. I even tried taping it on as I worked down the door, and giving it time for the glue to set up. I gave up in frustration. The only good point I found is that the glue wipes off easily with a little Goo-Gone.
