No, they are not touch controlled. Extremely light and unstable. I do not recommend this item.

These lamps are NOT touch controlled. They are also EXTREMELY light and easily knocked over with a light touch.  I am rarely unhappy with anything I have bought online since I take great care to read reviews, read the descriptions, etc ... While others had mentioned the lamps were light I couldn&#39;t imagine the quality was as inferior as I found these to be. Hope this answers your question with the addition of my experience re: the quality of these lamps.

it is a three way switch! which i think makes it better!

I have one of those coiled like energy saving bulbs and it switches on and off. Nothing in between.

YOU NEED TO PLACE THE SHADE RING ( UNO FITTER ) TO THE BULB SOCKET OF THE LAMP FIRST BEFORE PLACING THE LIGHT BULB TO THE LAMP.

put the shade over the neck of lamp first then put the bulb on.

You have to put the shade on the metal part the bulb screws into BEFORE you put the bulb in. That keeps the shade securely attached to the lamp.

You have to put the shade on BEFORE you put the light bulb in. Once you place the shade then screw the light bulb in the bulb is what holds the shade in place. Hope this helps.

I have noticed that many lamps are outrageously priced. These lamps are of very high quality and of good size and arrived exactly as indicated. If this is your style lamp that you would like I would highly recommend it.

VERY NICE LAMPS

This lamp is nice size, and looks nice. I wanted something that was not too small so this fits very well. It is a 3-way lamp if you use a 3 way bulb. It is a good buy for a reasonable price.

After redecorating my bedroom the lamp I had did not fit very well. I found this one for a reasonable price. The color and the height of this lamp suited my new decor perfectly.

The description and the picture show a blue lamp with a blue shade and silver metal. The lamp as furnished is a blue lamp with a gray-blue shade and gold metal. The lamp is very pretty and the price is reasonable, but I would have preferred the lamp as advertised.

Lamp base was terrific BUT the lamp shade is so dark that it distracts from the overall appearance of the lamp. The diffused light is a problem because of the dark lamp shade.

I love the lamp but they used a black electrical socket and it really detracts from the beauty of the lamp.

I ordered an ivory lamp for my grandmother (of whom knows nothing about shopping on the internet). It showed up at her door and it was black with a black shade although the receipt said "ivory". Her only option, as we live thousands of miles away) was to take it to walmart to exchange, but they didn't and she had to get a credit. Boo
