Nuragold 18k Real Yellow Gold 3mm Rope Chain Diamond Cut Necklace (16"-26") Italian Jewelry for Men & Women

God, it is hard to believe how expensive gold has become until you hold a (beautiful) necklace like this in your hand. I chose 18k, because this KT is the premier quality and color of my generation, born after WW2. To tell the truth I am not sure this gen. can tell the difference, or that it matters. At a shade less than TWICE THE GOLD OF 10K, the chain looks SO RICH IN COLOR, and DAZZLING in DIAMOND CUTTING. This necklace has really grown on me. It took a while for me to fall in love because I have never paid almost $900, for a 3mm gold chain, and while it has some weight, it is not solid. I am a big guy, at 6'4, and most jewelry seems small initially to me. Especially as I compare it to the larger pieces I purchased in the 80's. When I compare the gold I purchased in 1980's Italy, the cost was just over $300 per ounce. Ouch. I can even remember the first gift to young lady in 1974, when gold was $43.10 fixed. Yikes! Yes, gold was almost as cheap as silver is expensive today. However, I don't believe we had diamond cutting (lol). This chain has really grown in my appreciation as I add purchases of bracelets, and rings. Almost all have been in 10k, as this KT goes a whole long way. Strangely, I don't remember 10k in my youth. I only remember people looking to see if you sported the beautiful 18k, or higher, or the pedestrian 14k. Yes, that was really a thing. I am so pleased that I am wearing this beautiful, sparkling, finest of chains around my neck. It is closest to my heart. When you reach the last quarter of life you should surround yourself with pampering, before you need pampers (oh ya, I said it, lol, well not really). Seriously, if not now, then when? BUY SOME LOVE.
