Sizing is way off!

I consistently wear a shoe size 7, but the size 7 in these water shoes are about an inch longer than my foot! Furthermore, I have a narrow foot and these shoes run plenty wide. I thought a velcro enclosure was the answer, but it doesn't pull in the width enough to make a difference. Sizing is completely off so back they go!
