The noodles, as is usual for the brand, stay al dente for a long time. There are other brands, you know the ones, that attain a texture not unlike dissolved toilet paper if you wait more than two minutes. This is their meat free option. I like mushrooms and tofu as well, so I eat this regularly too. It does have a meaty umami "bottom" so you're not left wanting. If you hate the artificial ramen broth taste, give it a try. It tastes much more like something that actually grew in the earth at some point. You will be able to tell the difference, in quality, and flavor.

I sometimes dabble in vegan/plant-based foods. I think these are fully compliant. The flavor is excellent and I think I like them a little more than the regular Shin Red. The flavor seems extremely close to the red but I think the little pack of additives is a little nicer.
