I have a toaster oven, short in height, and a smidge smaller in ‘belly' … and those burner units are just shallow enough to catch the topside of my wrist … something a regular ‘pot holder' doesn't cover when pulling items out of the over, itself. I've only had them for a week but so far so good. I bought them because my arthritis has gotten worse and I started dropping pots. These give me a much better grip and heat is not a problem. We'll see about durability.
