Looks Nice, Not Comfortable, Poor Rocking Motion

We've been wanting a rocking bench to be able to sit together and relax in with a pleasant rocking motion, and we specifically don't want a glider. This looked like a great bench to try and was reasonably priced compared to many options out there, so we decided to go for it. The best I can say about this rocker is that it looks nice and was fairly easy to put together. Beyond that, we're pretty disappointed with it. It's not comfortable at all, and while some cushions might help with that partially, much of the discomfort is due to the proportions feeling wrong. The seat feels too deep, and the back is too short. The biggest issue for us, though is that the rocking motion is very limited. Unless the rocker is sitting on a very smooth, hard surface (like a hardwood floor), it takes fairly significant effort to the get bench to rock. If you want the rocker on a different surface, soft like carpet or rough like a brick porch, you'll be building up some serious muscle just to get the thing to move. Ultimately, if you just want something for looks to fill out a porch corner, it looks nice enough and isn't particularly pricey, but if you want a comfortable bench to sit in with a friend, spouse, or relative and rock while you talk, cuddle, or just enjoy the world, keep looking.
