Slate blue is a very dark blue color.

I only gave it 3 stars because the color was a dark blue overall, not the slate blue I imagined it would be. Otherwise, the rug seems like it is a good quality and doesn't slip on my mother's slick tile floor. The blue color is made up of varigated blue threads, one of which is a slate blue. Just the overall blue color seemed very dark.
