I was a little nervous at first about burning myself, but it has now become my main tumbler. I drink a lot of hot tea daily. What I have learned is this. If my first fill is boiling hot, the following fills have to be a little less hot. This is because the tumbler is still retaining heat from the previous fill. Personally, first fill is about 100C / 212F. Follow-ups will be 81C / 177F. Also, I love the feel of it! It feels solid.
