Amazingly Powerful and Compact
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for something like this drill for so long. I was a bit worried about how long the 12 volt battery would last compared to my DeWalt 20v, but that was unnecessary. To test it out, I immediately put it to use after getting it. I drilled 30 pocket holes for a cabinet, drove the screws to build it, then used the hammer function to drill 8 holes into CMU block to hang the cabinet. All on one charge. It only used 2/3 of the battery power, which is pretty amazing. After the initial test, I have used it as my “normal” drill for a whole week, and I have used it fairly heavily. It has since gone on to drill another 10 holes into masonry using the hammer function, and drilled and driven countless holes and screws. I can honestly say that I will be reaching for this smaller 12v drill for most of my usual drilling/driving tasks from now on. It really can do everything that I've thrown at it so far. The compact size and weight of the drill and battery make it very easy to use, and even permits one handed operation if necessary. This could be very useful for any jobs that require overhead use or elevated work on a ladder or platform. The drill has plenty of torque and power for most tasks. I have yet to bog it down and find its limit during normal use. I would recommend this hammer drill/driver to just about anyone. It is perfect for use at home, and even for professionals in the trades.

A great little hammer drill - impressive
This little guy packs a mighty punch for his size. I was using this to bore holes for a house rough-in, and also to drill into the masonry block walls in the basement. It handled both with relative ease, although the hammerdrilling was very impressive, the boring did not quite stand up to my 20V Max XR Drill/Driver. But, I did not expect it to. This thing is barely half the size & weight! For what it is, I am amazed. I think just about any homeowner and most DIY/weekend warriors (and even professionals in the lighter crafts) could retain this as their sole drill/driver and be perfectly satisfied. I am so glad I got this, and I can't wait to put it up to more tests in the future! Another solid DeWalt product. PS: the kit comes with a nice handy little carrying bag which fits it perfectly and (2) 12V batteries. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
