Surprisingly tasty and so convenient!

As a former resident of the Great State of Texas I was homesick for the many Tex-Mex convenience foods that had become a staple in our family menus. One in particular was pre-seasoned chicken fajitas readily available in every supermarket meat department. After our move cross country I've tried to recreate the flavors and I've come close but McCormick got it just right! Their Fajita sauce is so much better and easier than anything I've tried on my own. It's not too spicy hot so even the little ones enjoyed it. I stir fried chicken strips with sliced onions and green peppers then added the sauce as the package directed. A squeeze of fresh lime juice and it was so delicious! I like to serve fajitas buffet style with flour tortillas and fresh chopped tomatoes, sliced lettuce, shredded colby cheese, and Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, sour cream. Each of us assembles their own fave combination right at the table. Fajita night at our house is a lively if a bit messy family fun time. Give it a try and keep plenty of napkins close at hand. I'm sure your family will enjoy them too! I will be buying this sauce mix again and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Mexican food.

can't get any more simple

I didn't have to tweak this sauce at all. I let my chicken marinate in it for 6 hours in the fridge to soak in all the flavors. I used a pretty high heat on the stove to sear it and lock the flavor in. Warmed the leftover sauce and then cooked the chicken in it for about 10 more minutes. Lay out some shells and sides and you are ready to serve a great meal.

McCormick Fajita with Roasted Chili, Garlic & Lime

I wanted to try something new for our Family Fiesta night, so I prepared chicken fajitas using McCormick Fajita with Roasted Chili, Garlic & Lime Skillet Sauce. After cutting up strips of chicken, onion, red, yellow, and orange peppers, I followed the easy directions on the pouch. The sauce was quite pungent with the aroma of garlic. Preparation was relatively quick and simple. I served them on a flour tortilla with shredded cheese, sour cream, and some sriracha sauce and then folded the tortillas to encase the ingredients. The fajitas were “muy delicioso” (Spanish for very delicious)! This turned out to be quite a crowd pleaser. I'll definitely be making these again!
