I use this pan for Swedish hotcakes and it is great for that. This is the second of two pans I have owned I have returned the first to the manufacturer (about 2 months ago) because the handle was coming loose and have yet to have it returned. The pan itself is a great addition to any kitchen. The jury is out on the Vollrath Company backing their product.

a perfect pan for flipping crepes at the farmers market every Sat. We have lots of fun but....don't over heat it And don't scratch it either. I use just a very light wipe of oil before each crepe.

This griddle is great for pancakes, crepes and omelets. Much easier to get underneath with a spatula than when using an ordinary frying pan. But remember, it's not an ordinary frying pan , there's just a small lip around the edge , so don't plan on using this for sauteing or doing anything involving much liquid. My only complaint so far is that the handle gets pretty hot. You will need to wear an oven mitt while handling it. A removable silicone sleeve would've been a nice touch. And if you have children, be careful that they don't touch it.
