These covers are great. All you need for storage of the motors . I purchased two of these , one for the 8 horse trolling motor and the other for the 50 hp. motor. I don't think I will leave them on for road travel , but that is not what I bought them for .

Helps an outboard looking and running like new.
This outboard cover was around $18 and it keeps my engine from uv rays from the sun that dulls the paint. It also helps with the mud daubers making nest in and on the engine. I have two outboard engines that I have bought covers for in the past and they still look like new. A 1984 70hp engine and a 1995 115hp engine that I have now. I sold my boat and 70hp engine and the person didn't even ask for me to start it. He said it still looks like a new engine. So the cover helps on the resale of the engine as well. These covers last about 4 to 5 years with my experience I have had with them. I think there worth it
