These lamps are beautiful. They are a very dark blue almost navy blue. They have a pure white lampshade that was very easy to assemble by closing the velcro edges. The lampshade was easy to assemble by slipping the rings onto the flexible rods that form the lampshade and then closing the edges for the velcro to seal. Simple enough for a child to assemble. They came with the soft white light bulbs and they are beautiful when turned on at night.
