Don't listen to Kane

Don't listen to the one star review from Kane. Mongoose is older than he is. I had a Mongoose BMX bike when I was a kid. Only bought mongoose since. Known for strong frames. They sold out their independent dealers to get into Walmart. Still make high end bikes tho. The thing about mongoose is that you get really high end components (crank sets, shifters, brakes, etc.) on moderately priced bikes. Mine has Shimano components that come standard on a GT bike at twice the cost. High end components, strong frame, good price.

This bike is great for the price. The only thing that was missing that I bought after was a dropper post. Very comfortable ride and handles the trails very well. Great mountain bike for the price

Way overpriced for what this is.

no no no no do not spend this type of money for a big box store bike with mediocre components. do though go by a bike for this amount of money in this range would include specialized Giant specialized rockhopper will be about $1,400 SRAM components all around, GX eagle 1x12 drivetrain. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. will the rock shock Judy air solo fork. Yes Mongoose has been around since I was a kid too but that doesn't mean it's a good buy.
