Sticker wouldn't stick all around

The sticker was very cute….. However it wouldn't stick very good on our wall. This is a new mobile home and prior to applying the sticker I wiped off wall area and applied sticker to dry wall. The first step went simple and fine.i was able to pull off sticker successfully but then there were spots alone the edges that wouldn't stay stuck. I tried using straight edge of debit card to go around edges of sticker but that didn't work. Was disappointed because the sticker was really cute and I waited a little long for it.
