Goes through wood or should I say cuts beaches up to 12 inch with no problem had my neighbor across the road and a good size branch fall from the tree from a storm so it was my lucky day to try it out for the first, put chain saw oil in her and she rip through with no problem excellent piece of machinery I give it a 10 even first time using it. a real useful saw ... especially for the money

I have used gasoline powered chainsaws for several decades and continue to use them as needed for larger storm damage to trees at our property. I wanted something smaller that could be used easier to just do routine pruning, etc. I found this saw to be very useful in cutting limbs up to 3 inches in diameter or so. It cuts rapidly and is very controllable and easy to handle. The chain is surprisingly sharp. The battery life is useful, and the spare battery is handy if you run low on the 1st one. You need to be aware that you need to let the saw set the pace, you cannot push things the way you can with the gas models. Having multiple chains and bars is a nice touch. Everything seems to be reasonably well made and well designed. Long term durability will be interesting to see. This is a real sharp cutting machine so be careful and respectful in using it.
