A very quiet tool in comparison to the original. The surge is great for working indoors during business hours, or in an occupied residence without creating a loud and obstructive atmosphere.. I also like the 4 clutch settings, allowing the operator to utilize the same tool for multiple applications. Allowing an operator to switch from one size fastener to another without the accidental occurrence of over torqued, stripped, rounded, or broken fasteners. The compact size light weight design and Milwaukee dependability are top notch. I would highly recommend this tool

I am a Low Voltage Technician by trade, when you are on a service call and the space you are working in is occupied you need to be discreet this is why I have the Surge impact! This impact will exceed your expectations first of all you get all the power you need at a minimum of the noise level is minimal what I mean by that is you are seen but you don't want to be heard. It's quiet compared to other impacts get in and get out no read to go back to your truck for more tools grab your Surge and a driver kit the parts you need for the job! Fix it and get out 1 Driver that's all you need.
