Love this microwave
We had a bit of good fortune - bought another brand but it wouldn't work after the first day, so we ordered the Sharp from Walmart. This is an outstanding product. It lights when the door is opened - many brands don't. The interior is large enough for our big rectangular plates to turn freely whereas our previous purchase was a bit too small to allow this. The control panel functions are really great, so READ THEM. We use the Beverage button all the time for quickly heating a cup or two of coffee. We use the Express buttons and the +30 Seconds button all the time. The defrost functions work well too. This micro is also noticeably quieter than the first one and quieter than our friend's Samsung. We feel really lucky that our first microwave failed and highly recommend the Sharp. I usually don't buy extended warranty plans, but for $9, I did on this and got two additional years. Seemed like cheap insurance to me.

My new Sharp carousel microwave
I like this microwave very much. In fact, I love it. I like the controls and the way it cooks. It was the only microwave I found with no overall bad reviews; with100% approval rating. I read some reviews against the noise,, but I have figured out that the sound varies depending on what phase of the cooking it is in.... Actually interesting to listen and realize how smart it is. And someone else didn't like the repeating beeps telling you the cooking is done: well I think that's a good feature: it beeps to tell you it's done, then it waits a bit and if you haven't responded, it beeps again in case you didn't hear the first beat. Again, I think it's very well-designed I DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone.
