First venture into subcompact drills. Looked at several different brands and for the price, this was what I went with. A big plus is that there is a lifetime warranty. Used this to drill into porcelain tile for a shower door, and the drill didn't disappoint. Don't have anything else to compare it to, but happy so far.Time will tell./

Like all Hitachi tools i have had in the past, this hammer drill is second to none. A great all around drill that has it all in every department. To be honest, the new Metabo brandname made me tantative to buy at first but once i did my research into the new namesake, i realized it is the same company with the same quality!!! Hitachi (Metabo) has become my go to brand lately and for the price, you get a bang for the buck with these tools.
